Objectives

Title: Endoscope-Associated Infections: The Rise Of The Superbug

• Summarize the current information on multidrug-resistant organisms linked to endoscope-associated infections.

• Examine the link between inadequate endoscope reprocessing and pathogen transmission.

• Describe the different approaches being used to mitigate the risk of endoscope-associated infections 9:15-10:15

Title: 2023 Aspirin Therapy: What’s the GI tract got to do with it?

• Recall the 2022 updated Aspirin medical therapy guidelines

• Evaluate the benefits of Aspirin therapy with respect to prevention of GI cancers and Coronary Vascular Disease

• Identify the harmful effects of Aspirin on the GI Tract

• Analyze the risk to benefit ratio associated with the use of Aspirin

• Assess 2 specific patient cases with respect to Aspirin therapy 10:30 -11:30

Title: Diet and Inflammatory Bowel Disease

• Undertand the role diet plays in IBD

• Utilize up to date data to support the role of diet and IBD 11:30 -12:30

Title: Introduction to Crohns and Colitis Endoscopic Differences/Management

• Understand the differences between Crohns and Colitis during an endoscopic procedure

• Management of Crohns/Colitis 13:30-14:30 Title: Low Anterior Resection Syndrome

• Stratify severity of disease

• Managing severity of disease 14:30-15:30

Title: The Art & Science of Electrosurgery & Argon Plasma Coagulation in Endoscopy

• Understand the basics of Endoscopy

• Role of APC in GI Endoscopy
