We are the Florida Gulf Coast SGNA Region 12 which covers Collier, Lee, Glades, Hendry, Sarasota, Desoto, Charlotte and Manatee counties serving many cities; from Naples, Marco Island, Cape Coral, Ft. Myers, Ft. Myers Beach, Lehigh Acres, Clewiston, Labelle, Arcadia, Palmdale, Moore Haven, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Venice, Bradenton, Englewood, and in Sarasota. Region 12 is made up of many members; including 6 officers and 4 general Board members. We provide 3-4 educational meetings each year, which are held in the spring, summer, fall and winter and we offer GI specific contact hours.

Last year we joined the other Florida regions on our state website and have incorporated our own website within it. This will allow us to easily obtain information from the national, state, and/or regional websites and collaborate effortlessly though the Florida regions, which are available at our fingertips. With one simple click on a specific region or topic, information can readily be found in one easy step. In addition, it allows the website coordinator of each region to maintain their website and update information and events as they become available.
We are an organization dedicated to the education, advocacy, and networking of nurses and associates in the field of gastroenterology. Our atmosphere of mutual support is conducive to promoting the professional development of our members. This group of professional nurses and associates practice in hospitals, ambulatory endoscopy centers, surgery centers and physician offices with various backgrounds with goals to provide optimal care to patients during gastrointestinal procedures.
